It was never just about skill or ability with Darryl Sutter as experience seemed to be overemphasized. The Flames rarely called up playerd from the farm as there were always vets or UFA scrubs in the pressbox. We really can't say if Giordano is where he is today if he didn't play hardball. I'm not making up the perception. It's out there and like I said before the low morale at Abbotsford is testament to the prevailing culture of farm players never getting a shot.

Yes you directly are making up that perception and can't point to one case in terms of proof that it isn't you making it up. If you try to use the Erixon I'm afraid I win. Unfortunately your revised history and people like Puckluck don't take into account the young players like Boyd etc that never failed to fail for Sutter, forcing him to play percentages and rely on vets. McEllhinney (sp?), Boyd, Pardy, Gio, hell Lombardi and many others are examples of players not really stepping it up. So what do you do, you make a decision that you go with a known quantity. That's not a flaw.
The agents and players know the real story not some connect the dots assumptions that you are promoting as now fact but is, I'm afraid, opinion.
