I think there was a big issue in our development of Pelech.
It was pretty much shown that he had done all he could do at the AHL level and needed some time with the big team to prove himself and see what he needed to do to make sure he was an NHL player.
My theory is that you should get at least 5-10 games with the team in your first year of pro if you are a promising/top prospect in your organization.
This gives the prospect a taste of the NHL and shows him how much he needs to improve to become a regular NHL'er.
