People forget that Staios was just awfull to start the season, when called upon in the second half he did play well. Agree with what you said. Pelech did not take advantage of the situation of a bad Staios training camp to get him into the NHL.

So when you sit down to make the decision (Brent and Darryl) as the Flames did you keep the veteran because you know eventually the veteran will figure it out as Staios eventually did and move the 2 way contract down because you still don't know is it Pelech's injury or is it foot speed? Now had Pelech proved he was ready for the NHL and made Staios expendable or any veteran for that matter, I believe he would be on the Flames roster. He hasn't proven that he can be here fulltime, and I hypothesize the reason why we acquired Mikkelson and Carson.
