There is no real proof but the evidence for this case is pretty strong. His dad played for the Rangers, he was born in NY. His dad is still involved with the organization and has connections. Both father and son had the same agent. Erixon's cousin and teammate in Sweden who was also represented by the same agent manages to get traded to the Rangers a few days earlier, etc. Swedish commenter says that since he was drafted, him and his family would only talk about the Rangers, etc. It's like Lindros and the Nordiques over again except they announced their intentions even before the draft while the Erixon family kept theirs to themselves.
All points to premeditated collusion to hold the Flames to the wire until Feaster had no choice but to accept a trade for whatever remotely reasonable offers come up - incidentally one from the Rangers.
