Halladay's value is more than Bautista's IMO simply because he's an ace with very very little injury risk. How many pitchers consistently put in 9 innings and come close to 20 wins year after year? Putting that many innings also saves the bullpen from coming in and that's huge as well (basically 20% less wear on the bullpen as a whole). All this said though, this team is still a few pieces away from being a WS contender and a pitcher like Halladay would be that final piece you add to put you over the top. IF this team was better, and IF this was the Halladay we had a couple years back with this years Bautista, I'd do it at the deadline. However, this isn't the year the Jays are going for it, and given Halladay's age, I wouldn't do it.
