30 is like 20 in Vancouver. North Van isn't a bad option, but IMO it's a bit quiet and boring for a single person.
Even if you're not a hardcore partier, Vancouver is tough city to meet people in and being in more social areas is beneficial. Just my 2 cents as someone who moved here from Calgary 4 years ago.
I don't do rental services, but if you'd like me to shoot over some real estate listings on any areas just to show you what types of buildings/condos various areas have; I'd be happy to do so. I find looking at what areas sell for gives you some idea of the quality/demographics of the neighborhoods, and then you can check rentals in the same areas if you like them.
