We are having a similar problem again this year. I thought it was the window too, but it looks like the rain is coming in through the roof somehow or some cracked stucco maybe and its pooling behind the wall and dripping out through the top of our window moulding. It sucks because I just painted the walls and had new floors installed last year - now the baseboard and moulding is warped, and the hardwood vent insert has expanded so I can't get it out. (I should really add this to the GMG forum). I am nervous about sealing it though, at least I know where the water is coming out and I can put some buckets around. If I plug it, the water will just go somewhere else less predictable.
Check around the window though, and where the ceiling meets the wall. The leak may be there, and just exiting through the bottom sill. It's only when the water saturates everything around it that it started to show itself.
Had our skylight leak as well - Roof Hospital fixed that nicely, and hopefully somebody can come in the next day or so to check this newest leak. These issues make me want to sell my house and buy a condo instead.
