as far as the corvettes go, the US models have different option packages available, the canadian version usually dont have a 'bare bones' package....the speedos are different (US z06 speedo reads to 220 (km or mph) while the canadian reads to 360 (or somewhere thereabouts). US car needs to be 6 months old and 5K miles on the odo (maybe 10? cant remember offhand) before the warranty will be honored in canada....other than that, they are basically the identical car.
Canadian cars are worth more because they cost more and they are easier to find out the history. A lot of the american cars coming up are history unknown (ebay, auction etc) so you take your chances.

My Z06 for sale is an original calgary car, fully documented.

My first corvette (07 Z51 Coupe) I brought up from the states, now it is so easy to do
