Right now is the time of year where tornados are pretty common...whats rare about this year is that they started early, there have been WAY more than normal, and they have hit two majorly populated areas which has caused so many more deaths than normal which rightfully so attracts more media attention than usual.

I wouldnt say they started early at least here... The Strongest tornado maybe on record ( they said it was stronger than an F5) was May 3, 1999. Last week my wife and I were discussing how we hadnt had any tornado scares in OKC and it almost June , which is odd.
