89 confirmed dead as mentioned and hundreds still unaccounted for. We know 4 families that lost everything but thankfully have their lives.

X-rays from the hospital that was hit have been found 70 miles away.

As could be expected we are under a boil water order right now. 20,000 people without power and Empire Power says that may last for well over a week (search and rescue is more important right now than restoring power to what is no longer standing).

The only "good" thing is that this is the heart of WalMart country. The global head office is 60 miles south in Bentonville, Arkansas. There have already been 3 semi-trucks diverted to the staging area as MSSU in Joplin to drop off supplies. That will likely continue but also won't be enough. If you can donate to the red cross as hundreds of families have lost absolutely everything.

We will be emptying our closets of everything but the most common outfits we wear when we get home after work. The least we can do.
