I've been searching for a bike for 3 weeks now and just can't seem to find something that really peaks my interest. I'm trying not to spend anymore than $4500 for my first bike as I want something I won't be too scared to scratch up as I'm sure I will. I got mine for $3500, was advertised for $4000.
Not sure what kind of bike you want. But look for $5000 as well, because you'll be able to haggle down to 4500. My dad just asked the guy "would you take 35?" and the guy said "yeah".
For sports bikes there were a lot for $4500, I wasn't looking to spend that much so it was harder for me, but you shouldn't have that big of a problem. If you want to add other bikes to your search there were a lot of bikes on Kijiji.
