In my opinion Christians are forgiven. That is the big difference.

I've never seen any studies that had the proper apparatus to tell the difference between a christian who is one in name only, a christian who is saved but cardinal and, a christian who is Spirit filled.

One perk a christian has is that he knows when he has missed the mark. An agnostic or an atheist can more easily just move the goal posts. I suppose christians do that too but, it is a lot easier to know your deceiving yourself. This is beneficial because all sin leads to loss. This is true for the lost and the saved alike.
