I don't have a problem with having it separate like we have it here in Alberta; makes it harder for kids to shoplift if they aren't allowed in the store. It is funny hard it was to buy beer on a Sunday in Manitoba. I used to work at a hotel and we also had a beer store. We would always gets calls asking if our beer store was open; and then angry that it wasn't.

The best was one call I got; after telling him the beer store wasn't open he asked "Is there anyplace in this province you can buy beer on a Sunday?" I then told him that if he drove the US border he could buy at the duty free shop and come back without actually entering the US. (I have done that myself; and in Winnipeg the US border is less that 100 km away.)

The guy got all mad at me- but he asked if there was "anywhere in the province."
