I've never had to extend my contract with Rogers when changing my plan. Only when getting a new phone early. I recently made a huge change to my plan and there was no extension required.

Belus? Are you telling me that they're somehow intertwined? I was considering Telus, even if there's a contract, but no way in hell Bell gets any of my money. Please clarify.

As for not extending your contract, you should just try calling to cancel. They tell me that I last got a hardware upgrade in may of 2010. Not true. I got the hardware upgrade in Dec of '09, but in May they replaced my phone because it was a POS and I had to call about 10 different times over that 6 month period because of technical issues. Lol. They sell me a faulty piece of equipment, and then when they get sick of fixing it, they give me a new one and restart the contract clock.

Then in Feb of this year, I called and changed up my plan. Needed more minutes. She was so nice. She increased my minutes and ditched the call forwarding. Just called this morning to find out my payout; lo and behold, my contract restarted in Feb. $400 cancellation fee.

Bullshiz, IMO.
