Most surprising of all is the fact I haven't actually missed pop, chocolate, other junk food, fast food, etc.
On the down side, I have so much more energy I can't fall asleep at my regular time.
Keep up the good work, lads!

This sounds like me. I am only 5''8 and have been in great shape my entire life....until I found my wife and got comfortable lol. I went from a very fit 165 to 198. I wasn't obese but I felt terrible. I hated going to the beach etc. etc. I got extremely used to eating chicken wings, McDonalds and drinking way more beer than I should.
I made a conscious effort to just cut back on all of it especially the beer and I have successfully done that since the start of April. I also am doing cardio at least 5 times per week (moderate intensity). I made a couple of other changes as well like replacing my "double doubles" with green tea's and I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at the right times with healthy snacks in between. I actually think I eat more now but it's healthy stuff.
I'm already down 23lbs and I feel better than I have in years. I always used to go very intense when I started and I used to burn myself out quickly and become very discouraged. This time I'm going slower & making realistic changes and the weight and body fat is coming off much faster than I anticipated.
Congrats to all of those getting back in shape. You only get one body so you might as well treat it decent eh. Keep up the good work all.
