If you plan to BBQ a lot, get a more reputable brand such as weber and not those $100 dollar walmart ones. My parents bought me a new weber BBQ and it's way better than my old one. However, if you only do it a few times a year then it probably wouldn't even matter to you.

I would however suggest you get a propane and a charcoal. I love the flavor a charcoal grill lets off, just setting it up and maintaining it is a PITA. Really great having both options to revert to.
