Never knew this rule exsisted in the NFL...but you can tell Doug played in the CFL and learned some of those trick scoring plays.
Now that it comes to mind, pretty sure Flutie got a single point in the CFL too at some point 10+ years ago....a 2nd and long where he punted it, with obviously no one back, and ball ending up rolling in the endzone for a single.
Maybe his last play in the NFL and/or pro football.

Yeah with Bell I get the Boston CBS feed, and they were asking Belichek about it after the game. I guess Chris Berman of all people mentioned it to him that Flutie made the play a couple times in Canada. So I guess he's been dicking around with it in practice for a couple weeks and Belichek decided to let him try it today.
