However, 2 years ago, HD looked way better than it does now. It is compressed to the point now that you can see the effects. A full uncompressed HD is about 19 MB's per second, and I have been told that Shaw often compressed to 12 MB's per second, and Bell is around 15 MB's second. Its a shame - especially when compared to how it used to look.
Like others on AVS Forums, I have taken to calling the current HD 'HD Light'

I've had my HD setup for a year now and some HD broadcasts aren't as impressive as others and may ahve degraded.
I hear the only way to get uncompressed signals is with a big dish. Is their HD setups for big dishes and can a person intercept their signals?
