yea I think Calgary protects Tate. We have seen what Burris can do (and it's not all good things) and he will be getting up there in age. do you protect a guy who maybe has 3 or 4 years left and has proven to be dissapointing in the playoffs, or a guy who is entering his prime and has shown some consistency and talent?
as another poster mentioned, one year is a long time, this year the Stamps will test to see if Tate can handle more big situations, and assess how Hank is doing at the end. anything can happen in a season
