This. I've had to drive back to Calgary from Radium with a failed windshiled washer pump. Not a fun drive. Mountain roads can be horrible for having to wash the windshield. I usually take some wetnaps along to wash headlights if need be to.
Not sure of the condition/age/model of the vechicle you're taking, but on a long trip it's always good to have a basic tool kit (socket set/crescent wrench/duct tape/screwdriver/booster cables). Even if you can't fix a car on the side of the road, somebody may stop who can help you if you have tools.
Also, check your spare and make sure you have a jack that works. And make sure your owner's manual is in the car.
