Each over is 6 balls, all must be bowled by the same bowler, from the same end of the field. If a batter scores an even number of runs in one ball, he will face the next bowl thrown. If he scores an odd number of runs, the other batsman will face the next ball.
At the end of an over, the next over will be bowled from the other end, so a batter scoring an odd number of runs in the last ball of one over will face the first ball of the next over. If an even number of runs are scored in the last ball, then the other batsman will face the first ball of the next over.
