Buffy is really beginning to look like Whedons one hit, with Angel being a spin-off hit of poorer quality.
He's struck out with Firefly and Dollhouse already (neither of which were anything to be missed IMO). He MIGHT get another chance since neither was a complete flop and he still seems to have a notable amount of devoted fans, but if he does, it will propably be his one last go at it.
