The role of an opposition party is to oppose. Provide a counter-balance to the ruling party. See and expose all sides of an issue. This is how a parliamentary system works. They're not there to agree with the gov't. That would be pointless, right?

It all depends on the issue. There is nothing that says they cannot agree and HAVE TO oppose.
