That was it. The Liberals ran a left leaning campaign this time around against a man who is basically Canada's guru of socialism.

They really lost their way and should have tried to sell themselves as the middle ground party. They need to stop worrying about winning or being popular and start worrying about what exactly it is they stand for and let the ideology sell itself.

They went from being what in my opinion used to be the most versatile party covering the middle range of the spectrum, to being a party that tries to mimic the other 2 parties when it suits their needs. Unfortunately for them, Canadians can see right through it and would rather vote for the real thing (ie. the Conservative or NDP).
