I personally don't like the copyright bill, but in the grand scheme of things, it shouldn't be a big deal. You don't "need" to copy DVDs and things like that.

I agree that it is a waste, but all governments waste money on crap. It wouldn't be any different if the Liberals or NDP won.
All in all, the institutions of this country are pretty strong and no party can "destroy" the country in a matter of 4 or 5 years. If Harper sucks, he will be held accountable in the next election. In short, don't worry so much.
