Disagree with this. The simple act of doing it according to Muslim tradition will go quite far in calming public opinion on his death and in diplomatic circles. It was completely the right thing to do.
In addition, why would we want to degrade our own reputation further by
not doing it properly? Lets show those radicalists that we have respect for human lives, unlike their barbaric practices of hiding behind women and children and beheading hostages.
BTW, words like "throwing" or "dumping" off an aircraft carrier connote negative and obnoxious behaviour. He was lowered into the sea after the corpse was prepared in wrapping.
