barack obama has finally released his birth certificate after years of speculation that he was not born in the us.
Despite previously revealing an official "certification of live birth", which showed the president was born in hawaii, rumours persisted.

Now the white house have caved in to the pressure and hope the move will be a final blow to "birther" theorists who have insisted mr obama was born in his father's native kenya, making him ineligible to hold office.

Mr obama said he had watched, puzzled and bemused, as the conspiracy grew over the past years.

He said: "we do not have time for this kind of silliness. We've got better stuff to do. i have better stuff to do.
