I loved it and thought Greg Daniels did a perfect job. This show has always been comedy first, but it's had it's sweet moments. I enjoyed the sentiment to it all and just how far Michael has grown. For anyone who wish they layed off on the sentimental moments, i thought they actually did quite a job of balancing them with comedy. For life long Office fans, the amount of callbacks made that episode!
I saw Krasinski on Letterman this week and he talked about how him and Steve just were balling the second that last scene started. Really came off as real and both actors nailed it.
To think when the Office begun, how weak the first season was and how the show was inches away from being canceled. With all the pressure and comparisons to Gervais, somehow Carrell made this character his own.
And I might have to say this for the first time, Phyllis stole that show for me. She was hilarious last night
