OK CP politicos, the time draws near. First though, lets have a quick "Vote Compass" of our own, based solely on one issue: Cap and Trade. We're all pretty much on record with being against it...so this could be interesting. I've taken a statement from each of the parties and quoted it below. The only thing that I've removed is the part that says the party name. I've also not quoted entire paragraphs, just the one sentence or so that says what the parties think. Its simple...pick the one that you think you could most support. I'll come back at some point and tell you which is which. My point here isn't to change anyones votes by the way or convince you of which party has a better position. Just something semi-interesting for a Sunday. Hopefully you take it that way.
(Sure, you could cheat and probably google each sentence and come up with each party...but whats the harm? Surely on this major issue you know what you support, right? I also just ask that you don't ruin the fun for others...but it is what it is I suppose)
Here they are in no particular order:
A) "We support a domestic cap and trade system that will allow firms to generate credits by reducing smog-causing pollutants."
B) "We will put a price on carbon through a cap and trade system, which will establish hard emissions limits for Canada's biggest polluters to ensure companies pay their environmental bills and create incentive for emissions reductions"
C) "...will establish a cap and trade system-a mechanism that sets a ceiling on the total amount of permissible greenhouse gas emissions by large facilities..."
