Before the merge the Reform party was overtly religious. They had plenty of votes and yet our country wasn't falling apart. At some point, though, the Reform party (and Cons after the merge) became more about winning and power and less about values and ideologies. I find it frustrating to see other knuckle-draggers like myself (Calgaryborn?) don't take the Cons to task for their betrayal, but blind partisanship will do that to you, I suppose.
