CALGARY -- The Calgary Stampeders signed defensive back Brandon Isaac to a contract extension Thursday.
Isaac had 24 tackles, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, an interception and three sacks as a rookie. His three sacks were the most by a Calgary defensive back since 1998.
"We were really happy with Brandon's progress throughout his rookie season," said head coach/GM John Hufnagel in a statement. "Our coaching staff is excited about his potential."
Isaac appeared in 15 games last season, including two as a starter. He joined the Stampeders as a free agent in 2010.
"I'm really looking forward to the 2011 season," said Isaac. "I hope to build on the momentum from my rookie season and contribute towards the Stamps' success."

It will be interesting to see what happens with Bender and Deane, both were taken by the Stampeders in the third round of last years draft. Both are Offensive linemen.
