They aren't tearing up my yard at all just a couple small holes leading under the deck. They just annoy my 2 dogs who sit there barking at them and my neighbor's dog has started ripping up their yard to try and get at them though. I would assume they would pack up and leave to go somewhere else that actually has some yummy roots for them to eat and not just dirt and grass like my yard
