Harper says he won't re-open the abortion issue, so it comes down to either believing him or not.
An individual MP making a claim doesn't really mean anything. If it is the wish of his or her constituents that the issue is talked about, then the MP has duty to bring it up. Harper may not pursue it... he says that he won't.
If the MP claims inside knowledge that Harper does intend to open the issue, then that changes things. As of right now, it sounds like the agenda of one particular MP.
