Note the key point above; they will eliminate jobs; not fire teachers. Firing somebody means telling somebody they no longer have a job. But with an organization as big as the CBE they would have to have a turnover of more than 224 teachers per year. (Probably at least that many from retirement alone.) So what this means is they won't be hiring as many new teachers as they would like.
Yeah, when I saw the title of the thread, my first thought was did they find this many teachers viewing inappropriate web content at work that they're getting fired. Jobs being cut and being fired is pretty different.
