And I think it's funny for someone who's still in school to already be planning to spend money that they don't yet have from a job they haven't been hired for. Take it from experience, until you are in the midst of the working world, you only think of best-case scenarios....as a young guy, you forget all the surprise bills, hidden fees, and employment-status changes that reality will hit you with. Make sure your long-term investments, school debts, retirement plans, and rainy-day funds are taken care of with your monthly pay-cheque before you start spending it on luxury cars. Just because a lot of people go buying things they can't really afford, doesn't mean you have to fall into the same trap.

That is, unless you have money coming to you already from other sources, which I suspect is the case. In that case, go nuts.

It's not the case but thanks for the lecture. I know how to invest my money and get some proper #### out of it. For example my car, instead of pissing my money away at 20 on beer and partying i saved and bought myself a nice car... sure its just a stupid car and a stupid investment in general but i know priorities (I bought my car before i really grew up).

TBQH my plan is to save for a while and buy a house with my gf/fiance. Get our finances in order than maybe looking at getting a nice family car that is reliable and safe (hence the 335xi).

To the OP, if your mom likes the new look of the TL's (most dont), get one with the SH-AWD, they are great cars.
