I quit smoking on January 16, and while never a physical specimen to behold, I was embarrassed when I started packing on the pounds and my pants no longer fit, so I decided to do something about it.
3 Weeks ago I bought a years gym membership, signed up on
http://www.myfitnesspal.com and started doing 45 to 60 minutes of cardio, 6 days a week. Add in a bit healthier diet and I am shedding the pounds and toning up.
This AM I started the C25K. So in 9 weeks I will be looking for some 5K runs to participate in. My goal is to lose 65 lbs and a fraction of the way into that, I feel great!
Not smoking, getting fit, eating healthy, the best things I have ever done for myself.
