46 lbs between last April and now.My BMI went from 27.7 to 21.3. Did it mostly by calculating BMR (using an internet calculator), counting calories using the LoseIt! app on my iPhone, and running about 5km 3 times a week on a treadmill. A very tech based solution!
I don't count calories anymore, but it helped me generate habits on proper diet.
Since my peak weight loss, i've also cut down on the cardio, keeping it mostly to playing hockey once or twice a week, and now I spend most of my time at the gym lifting weights. Nothing too extreme, about 30 minutes 3 times a week. It's been enough to keep the weight off.
My food tips: lots of water, soup, fruit and veggies! Also flax seed and whole grains. Also keep a tab on your sauces, it's amazing how quick those calories add up!!! Same goes for liquid calories. I rarely ever drink any type of juice or pop now. If you're looking for lazy quick meals, healthy choice steamers are pretty good. (probably not the healthiest way of going about doing it, but they're easy and keep the calories down)
Anyone got any tips on getting rid of stretch marks? Someone suggested bio oil and i've been using it since January, but haven't really noticed a difference.
