Although March is our snowiest month, it actually snows more in April than it does in February and October, and it is comparable to the other winter months. It may not happen every year, but happens enough.
I remember one in late April a few years back. April 25th or so, and it must have been back in 2004 or 2005. Literally among the biggest snowfalls I have ever seen here.
Edit: And last year even, apparently we got dumped on on April 29th. I don't remember this one though... :
