I missed the end, but here's my overall take:
This debate is about Harper, not the others. He's the only candidate with anything to lose, since he's currently polling in majority territory.
However, he didn't need to win; he only needed to not lose too badly. He looked awkward, uninspired and occasionally panicked--but he didn't look dramatically worse than anyone else, and odds are that's good enough.
He's a bad leader, but he's probably going to win a majority. If he can't win a majority now, then it's time for a new leader.
