I don't disagree with you on the rag the puck strategy.
Harper got through the platform stage relatively unscathed as he retained his fairly wide lead in the polls, however the Nanos guy did allude that there would be some interesting results released at 4 today based around the leadership index, not the party polls.
I would think that if Harper gets through today without the opposition landing a significant blow, he'll be able to dictate the rest of the election.
If Ignatieff can't land an effective blow, he might do some small eroding.
Layton does have the toughest job of all, he has to land some significant damage to Ignatieff and Harper, if he doesn't then he becomes the cautionary tale of this election as he's seeing his voter base slowly dwindle.
