Many thanks for the video, Reggie. 1962 was the year we arrived in Calgary, and it sure brings back a lot of memories. In fact, I recall watching Roy Rogers and Dale Evans as parade marshals that summer. I believe their museum has closed down, and they are presently auctioning off all their memorabilia.

I recall the Hays farm being the south edge of town. Harry's annual Stampede Breakfast was quite an event. What was the name of that famous drink he used to serve?

The city had a much different ambiance in those day. It was much smaller (about 250,000 population), very little traffic, seemed friendlier, and generally considered a cowtown by easterners.
