I think it is a nice example of how good photographers can capture an image that is powerful but not necessarily representative of the situation.

I think more disturbing than the photojournalists taking the pictures is that from the looks of the suroundings in the 2nd photo, it isn't some desolate area. Many ordinary Haitians probably walked around her before the photographers got there.
