Two RIM produced apps that have been recently released:
Blackberry Traffic:
Not just a traffic app, more of a GPS app. Very simple, and slick.

If you're in Beta Zone, there's a newer version that adds a view.
Blackberry Protect:
Similar to the Mobile Me "Find my Iphone" app (which saved the wife buying a new Iphone 4 after we tracked it down after it was stolen), it allows you to remotely lock, wipe and track, via RT GPS, where your phone is if you've lost it.

Works a lot better then the 3rd party apps like SmrtGuard as far as UI and just overall feel, likely because it was produced by RIM.
Both are free apps. Blackberry Protect is a no brainer to install, IMO.
