Well since I haven't been to any modern NHL rinks (Saddledome and Rexall are it for me
) I can't say for sure. It seems to have everything set up so much better than the older rinks, that's for sure. There's more info on their website. Lots of pictures and diagrams.

I think one of the interesting things was how loud it was in there considering the upper level was closed off. It didn't take much noise from the crowd to really get loud in there, and every hit in the boards was really amplified. When the Moose scored in the shootout to win it was pretty crazy sounding.
EDIT: Oh, and it's WAY colder in there than they keep the Saddledome. Was definitely caught by surprise there.
