I am also surprised with the amount of anti recliners... I guarantee I fly more then just about every person on calgarypuck, and the only time I wont recline my seat is if there is a huge person behind me, or a women with a child on her lap.
Now I only recline probably 50% of the time as it takes it toll on the lower back after awhile, but honestly, I cant even notice a difference if the person ahead of me reclines.
I also wont recline if they have a drink on their tray, but as soon as they pick that drink up to take a sip, I move in on it, and recline if I am in a reclining mood.
Now as pointed out, if I was ever asked to keep my seat upright, I would. Im not going to argue about something so stupid, but if I want to get comfortable and your not 6'7' or weigh 400+ pounds, or have a child on your lap, im gladly going to lay back and listen to my music.
