I don't think Canadian's really buy the coalition statements by Harper and team, and they should focus on the real issues instead.

I am one of the belief that the Conservatives will not even get a minority government this time around, I think a minority Liberal government is what we'll see.

One of the big reasons why Harper got in was due in large to the GST tax cut, in my opinion that was a really bad tax cut, because it focuses on after-tax dollars, and you have to spend in order to save. And this time around they don't have a similar mass appealing platform to such as the GST cut to pump.

As a matter of fact, the conservatives had two great ideas in their previous platforms 1. don't touch the Income Trusts and 2. eliminate Capital Gains.

But neither one materialized and actually the Income Trust fiasco cost Canadians billions of lost dollars when they went back on their word.

To sum up, I think this will be a Youth's election and will vote for who appeals the most to them. Older Canadians tend to vote on a regular basis and tend to vote Conservative, so essentially you know the results there, so the critical point is gaining the new and young vote.

Just my thoughts.
