I know a number of people that have applied for the RCMP, the physical requirements are high, and the vetting process is
very intensive.
That said, people will trickle through the cracks, and if there is a need of recruits from specific groups they'll have an easier time getting in. What I mean is there are a lot of applicants from Newfoundland or Nova Scotia the applicants there will have a harder time being accepted than if there is few applicants from Alberta, at least from what I understand.
