Default How much is your grocery bill a month?

I'm just curious to compare. My wife hates grocery shopping and I don't mind it, hence I'm the grocery guy. I go to Safeway. I like their stores, and I'm a pretty dedicated air mile collector. It works out to about $500 to $800 a month for us and we have an 11 yr old.

The $800 a month bills are when there's some really good air mile deals going on. I'll load up on things that we'll eventually use, even if we already have the items in house. I'm guilty of being sucked into the odd item that I wouldn't normally get also if there's some wicked air miles attached to it. Not so much that I wouldn't get it anyway, but more the quantity of the item....like buying 5 boxes of cereal at a time in order to get X amount of air miles.

$500 months are when deals are kind of thin, and I stick to the basics, so $650-700 is pretty much the monthly average.

How does this compare? How much is it taking to feed your house?
