It seems that Obama has 60 to 90 days to get his forces out of the action. This is probably one of the reasons he doesn't want the US to lead this conflict. This was enacted because of the Korean and Viet Nam extended wars without an actual declaration of war.

The 2nd link in Google has the actual War Powers Resolution of 1973 when searching "the war powers resolution." Not sure how the Wikipedia entry was the best info you could find.
