Well, Goligoski got injured tonight for a month and honestly had not been performing very well. So the Blues decided to make a splash. Here's how the deal broke down:

To Blues

Dan Boyle (74)
John Mitchell (62)
John Moore (1st Rounder, 2008)

To Kings

Alex Goligoski (64)
Jamal Mayers (62)
1st 2012
2nd in 2011 or 2012
Philip McRae

I see the deal breaking down as follows:

Boyle > Goligoski -- Kings get the advantage moving forward
Mitchell = Mayers -- there for cap reasons
John Moore < 1st 2012 + McRae + 2nd 11' or '12

I get the advantage with Boyle now which is a huge upgrade for us and I do get a prospect like Moore who is a solid one IMO...I do give up a future in McRae which sucks but the 1st and 2nd in 2012 are a long ways away.

Thanks to BJ for the deal, it was a little complicated but it was a lot of fun.
